A compression control device (compressometer) based on a check valve is designed to measure excess pressure in the working cylinders of carburetor, injection and other 8 valve engines. The maximum measured pressure - 1.6 MPa (16kg / cm2)
Measuring compression should be carried out together with an assistant or alone with a test start button. The battery must be fully charged.
Warm up the engine to operating temperature. Turn out candles (sprayers) from all cylinders of the engine.
Insert the device with a rubber cone into the threaded hole of the spark plug (injector of the controlled cylinder and press to seal).
For an assistant to turn the engine crankshaft using a starter (when using a test start button, connect the clamps to the terminals of the traction relay, while holding the start button for 5-8 seconds, measure the compressin)
Attention! Throttle and choke valves must be fully open.
Take the pressure gauge reading and record it Reset the pressure gauge reading by pushing the return
foot valve. To control the next cylinder, repeat the previous operations. For an approximate conversion of overpressure values to compression ratio values, use the table
