Like many of the world's leading optics manufacturers, Praktica is best known as a manufacturer of high-quality cameras. The binoculars' body is mainly made of polycarbonate - a modern, durable and at the same time lightweight material that can be easily molded. The outside of the binoculars traditionally has a rubber shell for a secure grip and protection of the optics from accidental impacts and falls. The design provides the ability to attach a tripod adapter to install the binoculars on a full-fledged photo tripod.
The internal cavities of the binoculars are filled with dry nitrogen, the sealing rings are hermetically sealed and do not allow not only moisture to penetrate inside, but also the appearance of the slightest condensation on the internal optical surfaces. Since the binoculars are protected according to class IPX7, short-term immersion in water does not cause any damage to the device.
The optics of the binoculars meet all modern requirements for binoculars of the Roof prism system, including full multilayer enlightenment of all optical surfaces (FMC) and phase-correcting coating of prisms (Phase Correction). The anti-reflective coating in violet tones provides color rendition as close as possible to natural colors. The binocular tubes are coated inside with a matte coating, preventing glare and unwanted reflections. The BAK4 barite prisms are coated with a phase-correcting coating, which helps to improve the clarity and contrast of the image. As a result, we get an equally bright image of high contrast across the entire field. The layout of the optical lenses allows for a fairly wide field of view and at the same time a minimum focusing distance of 2 meters, which indicates a high class of the optical system.
Traditionally, the image sharpness is adjusted with the central wheel, and there is also the possibility of diopter correction using the ring on the right eyepiece in order to adjust the device to individual vision characteristics. The interaxial distance is adjusted in a wide range. The eyecups fix the pupil removal point at a distance of 17 mm, which allows using this device both with and without glasses. Thus, the binoculars have all the necessary adjustments for ease of use.
The binoculars come with a high-quality bag with a strap on carabiners, eyepiece caps, lens caps securely fastened with rubber belts, as well as a cloth for wiping the optics and a wide neck strap made of neoprene - a durable material with high elasticity, chemical stability and resistance to high and low temperatures.
