Description

Ferrino has developed a special line of hiking gear that provides maximum comfort for girls, taking into account the anatomy of the female body. In addition to the modified shape of the harness and waist belt with softer polyurethane foam pads, this backpack has a removable chest strap. Otherwise, this model, like the entire updated Finisterre series, is the most functional among Ferrino hiking backpacks. Despite the fact that this collection is positioned as backpacks for a weekend hike, all of them are quite suitable for longer hikes in the mountains and entry-level mountaineering. The main improvement is the use of RECCO ® technology, which allows search services to facilitate the search for climbers during avalanches. A material with a stronger weave of Ripstop thread is also used. Side, front straps and additional straps allow you to place everything you need on the backpack, from a sleeping pad and tent to a snowboard and skis. The backpack fits perfectly on the back, thanks to its slightly elongated format and the DNS suspension system. This system helps distribute the load correctly and provides the highest level of ventilation. The interior of the backpack is divided by a partition with a tightening cord. The front access opens wide enough for such a small backpack, allowing you to place a small three-season sleeping bag in the lower compartment. The capacity of the front pocket is adjusted with side ties. The high side pockets easily accommodate a liter bottle of water, although the necessary supply of water can be placed in a drinking system (optional) for which the backpack is adapted. A protective rain cover is located in a secret lower pocket. The pocket on the flap is divided into two compartments by a zipper. For the most essential little things, there is a pocket on the hip belt. On the front there are fasteners designed for trekking poles or ice axes. The most important elements of the design are made of the most durable Hypalon® material.

With 150 years of experience in the production of equipment for tourism, Ferrino does not rest on its laurels, continuing to dictate even higher standards of tourist equipment. For this purpose, in 1994 a special high-altitude laboratory was built to test products in real conditions. For decades, the company has been cooperating with outstanding climbers (such as Reinhold Messner), researchers, cavers who, using Ferrino products, conquered all the highest points of the planet, crossed 20,000 km of Antarctica on foot at extremely low temperatures down to -70 ° C, descended for 80 minutes into the very depths of the earth, into the Cueva de los Cristales cave, where at a temperature of + 58 ° C and 100% humidity a person could not previously stay for more than 20 minutes even in special equipment. Ferrino is rightfully proud of its achievements and ensures the quality and functionality of its products at the highest level.

Suspension and backrest system:

  • Suspension system: Dry Net System Back
  • Frame: semi-rigid, non-removable, consists of lightweight curved metal plates that ensure correct and even weight distribution, while maintaining the lightness of the entire structure, and also help maintain the correct position of the spine when walking.
  • Back: Thanks to the Dry Net System, the Back is fully ventilated. The additional air space between the back and the backpack promotes effective ventilation. The rollers with soft polyurethane foam lining are covered with breathable mesh fabric.
  • Shoulder straps: height-adjustable, anatomically shaped with soft polyurethane foam lining, lined with breathable mesh fabric, with loops for fixing the drinking system tube
  • Hip belt: non-removable, adjustable tension, with zipped pocket
  • Chest strap: removable, height adjustable with elastic insert.

Design features:

Dry Net System Back - a fully ventilated back, the air permeability of which is ensured by the presence of curved metal plates of the frame, creating free space for air circulation between the back and the back of the backpack. The frame is stretched with a mesh, providing additional rigidity to the entire structure. The mesh, together with soft waist and shoulder pads, provide comfort for the back and spine while walking, running, or riding a bike.

RECCO ® (advanced rescue technology) is an avalanche rescue system used by mountain rescue services at more than eight hundred winter resorts around the world, and the number of such resorts increases every year. RECCO ® technology allows for the rapid determination of the exact location of a victim using harmonic radar. The system consists of two parts: RECCO ® detectors, which are used by organized rescue teams, and RECCO ® reflectors, which are built into equipment, footwear or clothing. During the search, the detector emits and records a signal reflected from the reflector. The detection system operates at a distance of up to 200 m in the air and up to 30 m under snow. The advantage of this system is that the reflector does not require maintenance, switching on/off or other actions in the event of an accident, does not require power and has an unlimited service life.

Ice-axe holders (2) - ice axe holders are placed at the top and bottom of the mountaineering backpack's façade and, as a rule, are a combination of lower long loops or reinforced cords and upper elastic tightening cords with a lock or small ties on a Velcro textile fastener. Such holders allow you to securely fix ice axes and not load the interior of the backpack with them. If necessary, the holders can also be used to attach trekking poles. This backpack has two pairs of ice axe mounts combined with trekking pole mounts

Trekking poles holders (2) - holders for trekking poles are placed at the top and bottom of the façade of a trekking backpack and, as a rule, are a combination of lower loops and upper elastic tightening cords with a lock. Less often, the lower loops are replaced with the same tightening cords. Such holders allow you to securely fix trekking poles and not load the interior space of the backpack with them. This backpack has two pairs of fastenings for trekking poles, combined with fastenings for ice axes.

Rain cover - a protective rain cover can protect the backpack from getting wet during snow or rain. Such covers provide water resistance at a pressure of 10,000 m of water column. The cover covers the front and all side parts of the backpack and reliably protects against moisture penetration along the perimeter. The cover is hidden in a special pocket at the bottom of the backpack and, if necessary, can be removed completely.

Compatible H2O Bag - this backpack is compatible and can be equipped with a branded Ferrino hydration system with a capacity of one, two or three liters, or any other drinking system of the corresponding capacity. The backpack has the necessary compartment for placing a drinking system, as well as all the necessary holes and clamps for fixing the drinking tube.

Removable Straps - the backpack comes complete with two long straps ending in three-slotted Duraflex® plastic straps. The straps are used to secure equipment such as a snowboard, alpine or cross-country skis, snowshoes. The straps can be
fixed to specially designed loops or backpack straps, as well as to any other backpack straps of suitable width.

Gear Straps - straps on fastex for attaching additional equipment such as a tent, awning, self-inflating or polyurethane foam tourist mat. Placed at the bottom of the backpack in such a way as not to hinder movement while walking. If necessary, these straps can be used as compression straps to tighten the bottom of the backpack.

Side Compression - the side compression straps of the backpack can be used to attach equipment such as a camping mat, tent or trekking poles to the sides of the backpack, which is very important when the internal space of the backpack is already occupied. Also, the compression straps can be used for their intended purpose to tighten and reduce the external volume of the packed backpack.
Bottom Access - a front zippered entrance at the bottom of the backpack provides access to the contents of the bottom compartment of the backpack, separated from the main compartment. The front entrance can also be used to access the main compartment of the backpack, provided that the partition between the compartments is open. The bottom compartment with a front entrance is convenient to use for placing things such as a sleeping bag, shoes, etc.

Materials:

  • Polyester 210D HD invisible Ripstop PU - a fairly lightweight polyester fabric with a thread thickness of 210D and a high weave density. The fabric has an Invisible Ripstop structure, due to which it has high wear resistance and tear resistance. It does not break down under the influence of ultraviolet radiation. PU impregnation makes the fabric waterproof.
  • Supertex® is a modern material with a 600D thread thickness and PU coating, which, due to its strength and water resistance, is widely used for car awnings, pool covers, tents, athletic mats, etc. After applying a load, the material retains its original shape without tearing or stretching, is easy to clean, does not fade from moisture and does not burn out in the sun.
  • Hypalon® - chlorosulfonated polyethylene. A long-life material patented by DuPont. It is exceptionally resistant to abrasion, tearing, scratching, UV radiation, low and high temperatures. It is used in backpack construction elements that are most often subject to stretching and are constantly in use.
  • Duraflex hardware - American company National Molding Corporation - the largest manufacturer of plastic fittings under the Duraflex brand, which is the standard for tourist equipment. Plastic fittings are made of durable polyamide 6.6, developed by Dupont. Products withstand significant mechanical and temperature loads and are almost eternal. This backpack is equipped with Duraflex fittings
