Correct color rendering of the image is one of the two most important factors in light microscopy. Optika presents the next step in improving the illumination system of stereoscopic microscopes - professional subject LED illumination with transmitted and reflected light EcoLED ™ . A special coating technology on the optical elements of the illuminators in combination with energy-saving technology allows to obtain lighting with the best ratio of efficiency and economy. The upper illuminator consists of a modern point SMD LED and a lens, giving a correctly directed focused beam of light. The lower illumination is implemented in the form of 12 LEDs, giving uniform illumination of the matte disk of the working table increased to 100 mm. The LEDs have a color temperature of 6300K, which corresponds to natural daylight. Thus, the image is free from excessive yellow coloring of halogen lamps. The service life of LEDs is 65,000 hours, which is 22 years with daily 8-hour use (which is 20 times more than the most efficient halogen lamps).

A distinctive feature of the professional microscopes of the SLX series is the presence of a zoom, with which you can steplessly change the magnification of the microscope in the range from 7 to 45 times. The zooming system is parfocal: there is no need to refocus when zooming.
The microscope uses modern efficient EcoLED ™ illumination . Separate controls for the upper and lower illumination allow smooth brightness changes and use each illumination both separately and together in any brightness variation. The upper LED illuminator is movable and the angle of the light beam can be changed. Modern LED technologies have made it possible to significantly reduce the thickness of the microscope base. Even despite the increased base area, it was possible to achieve a significant reduction in weight while maintaining the stability of the microscope.
The combination of rechargeable batteries and low-power EcoLED ™ LED illumination allows for up to 12 hours of continuous field use and a full charge in 8 hours.
The special design of the focusing mechanism provides adjustment of the tension force of the focusing screws and allows, if necessary, to fix the microscope focused on the sample. This same feature allows for greater focusing accuracy.
The objective lens is reliably protected from dust and mechanical damage by a plastic skirt. The surfaces of the eyepieces and the tube are covered with a black anodized Type III coating, which reliably resists abrasion and corrosion.
It is worth noting that diopter correction is provided for each eyepiece separately. Thanks to this, additional microfocusing can be performed, as well as the microscope can be adjusted to individual vision characteristics.
For comfortable observation, the microscope is equipped with a pair of soft rubber eyecups that allow you to fix your eyes at the required distance from the eyepieces and at the same time block unwanted side illumination. The increased pupil removal of the eyepieces is simply necessary for comfortable observation for people wearing glasses. Additional convenience of observation is provided by tilting the binocular attachment at an angle of 45º.
