Despite the fact that the Optika B-69 40x-1000x Bino microscope belongs to the budget line of the manufacturer, the model has certain design features inherent only to the B-60 series microscopes. Special attention should be paid to the special hand rests, which allow you to remove tension from your wrists during long routine observations. In addition, the body is equipped with a handle located at such an angle that when carrying the microscope, the eyepieces do not fall out of the binocular attachment. The sole of the microscope has silicone inserts that prevent slipping.
Convenient observation is ensured by the tilt of the binocular attachment at an angle of 30º. The fully rotating attachment allows observation through the microscope from any convenient position without changing the position of the device in space. Image sharpness is achieved using coaxial fine and coarse focusing screws.
It is worth noting that diopter correction is provided for each eyepiece separately. Thanks to this, additional microfocusing can be performed, as well as the microscope can be adjusted to individual vision characteristics.
The LED illumination is smoothly adjusted in brightness using a brightness regulator and in intensity using an iris aperture diaphragm. The diaphragm is equipped with a filter holder with a diameter of 32 mm. A movable Abbe condenser with a numerical aperture of 1.25 makes it possible to accurately transfer the light projection to the plane of the observed sample and effectively use a 100x objective without loss of image resolution.
The innovative StagErase™ coating protects the stage from scratches. The stage itself is equipped with a movable specimen guide with a vernier scale and micrometer screws.
The microscope provides a wide range of magnifications from 40x to 1000x. The 40x and 100x objectives have a spring-loaded design that prevents damage to the objective or sample when the stage is raised excessively. The 100x OIL objective is recommended to be used only as an immersion objective. To increase resolution at high magnifications, the condenser can also be used as an immersion objective. The surface of the eyepiece tubes is covered with a black anodized Type III coating that reliably resists abrasion and corrosion on the outside and does not allow unwanted reflections on the inside.
