Description
The Ferrino Force 2 tent belongs to the Light Line series of ultra-light tents. This model has several distinctive design features that allow it to be used in difficult hikes with significant precipitation and gusts of wind. The tent frame consists of three aluminum arcs, which provides three points of their mutual intersection and six support points. This doubles the tent's resistance to wind and snow loads compared to a standard hemispherical dome frame. An external awning is attached to the frame itself, which will keep the inner tent dry when installed in the rain, as well as save time when assembling and installing the tent. A significant part of the inner tent is a mosquito net, so the tent will be comfortable on hot summer nights. The tent has two vestibules and two entrances on opposite sides, allowing everyone to comfortably use it without restricting each other. The outer awning has a water resistance of 3000 mm H2O, which is enough to keep the tent dry inside during the rain. The efficient Camera Air ventilation system is complemented by two ventilation windows, which will help to avoid condensation. The tent cover has a compression strap, which allows achieving compact dimensions of the packed tent.
Peculiarities:
- The non-standard dome semi-geodetic frame design with three arcs is designed to significantly increase the stability of the tent due to six support points and three arc intersection points. This design is free-standing, preserving the ability to set up the tent without fixing it with pegs, which is especially important when setting up on snow, sand or in places where the terrain does not allow for reliable fixation of pegs. In addition, this design reliably fixes both entrances to the tent.
- The inner tent is attached to the outer awning using special fittings. This allows you to save time on the simultaneous installation of the inner tent and the outer awning, and also to keep the inner tent dry when installing it during rain. If necessary, the inner tent can be unfastened and the outer awning can be used separately.
- The outer awning is attached to the arches using hooks.
- The arcs are marked using anodizing in different colors.
- The design includes two ventilation windows located above the entrances opposite each other. The Camera Air ventilation system creates a large air chamber between the outer awning and the inner tent, which facilitates free air circulation around the inner tent. On the one hand, this eliminates the appearance of condensation inside, and on the other hand, air is the best heat-insulating layer.
- The material of the awning and inner tent is triple-reinforced at points with expected increased load. The reinforcement is made in the form of an additional layer of high-strength fabric.
- Inside the tent there are large pockets for placing mosquito nets and other small items.
- The arc fixators located in the corners of the tent are made of aluminum.
- The tent is equipped with a hook for hanging a camping lantern inside.
- The tent cover is equipped with a compression strap on a fastex and has sewn-in instructions for setting up the tent.
- The aluminium pegs have a hexagonal profile, which increases bending resistance and improves fixation on the ground.
