The five-section frame is made partly of aluminum, and the sections with the smallest diameter are made of steel for greater strength. The spokes are also combined and made of aluminum, steel and fiberglass, depending on the load on each spoke section. The handle has a rounded ergonomic shape and a non-slip Soft Touch coating. The umbrella dome is treated with a water-repellent composition, which periodically requires updating with special hydrophobic agents. When folded in a case, the umbrella takes up a minimum of space and will fit even in a jacket pocket or a small women's handbag.
