The B-150 series of microscopes has been developed to meet all the requirements of educational laboratories. The models of this series meet all the basic requirements necessary for entry-level scientific microscopy. All Optika SRL products are made in Italy. Optika microscopes are developed, manufactured and assembled in the small town of Ponteranica (Bergamo province). Optical resolution largely depends on proper lighting. Modern microscope optics are so perfect that it is difficult to invent something revolutionary new, while the leap in the development of LED technologies opens up wide opportunities in microscopy. Optika has patented its revolutionary development of subject LED illumination X-Led1 . A highly efficient LED is combined with a reflector of complex geometry and a specially designed optical lens, which allows to significantly improve the intensity, homogeneity and direction of the produced light. Unlike traditional halogen lamps, the luminous flux obtained using the X-Led system has a bright white glow with a color temperature of 6300K, which corresponds to natural daylight . Thus, the image is devoid of excessively yellow coloring from the light of a halogen lamp. An undeniable advantage is its economy: the energy consumption of an LED is only 10% of that of a halogen lamp of similar brightness, while its service life is incomparably longer - 50,000 hours compared to 1,500 hours of a halogen lamp.

The LED illumination of the X-Led1 microscope is smoothly adjusted in brightness using a brightness regulator and in intensity using an iris aperture diaphragm. The diaphragm is equipped with a filter holder with a diameter of 32 mm.
The height of the object stage is adjusted using the macro and micrometer focusing screws. The design provides a disk for controlling the tension of the focusing screws, which allows you to fix the microscope focused on the sample if necessary. This feature also allows for more accurate focusing. The stage is equipped with a specimen guide with a vernier.
The microscope provides a wide range of magnifications from 40x to 1000x. The 40x and 100x objectives have a spring-loaded design that prevents damage to the objective or sample when the stage is raised excessively. The 100x OIL objective is recommended to be used only as an immersion objective, and, with virtually no loss of contrast, not only special oil but also water can act as an immersion liquid. This became possible due to the use of X-LED1 LED illumination and the HC (High Contrast) optical objective system. To increase resolution at high magnifications, the condenser can also be used as an immersion one. The tube surface is covered with a black anodized Type III coating that reliably resists abrasion and corrosion.
Additionally, the viewing convenience is ensured by the tilt of the monocular attachment at an angle of 30º. The fully rotating attachment allows you to observe through the microscope from any convenient position without changing the position of the device in space. Sufficient weight of the body and anti-slip heels eliminate arbitrary displacement of the microscope during observations.
