Description
The waterproof level of 10,000 mm of water column for a textile backpack has become real thanks to the patented OutDry 3D technology. This membrane technology is used in the Ferrino Dry-Hike 32 OutDry Black backpack. The pocket in the valve has a zipper with a water barrier, and the neck of the main compartment is folded, fixed with fastexes and sealed, so the backpack is 100% waterproof. Ferrino Dry-Hike 32 OutDry Black is mainly intended for ski trips and active mountaineering, but is perfect for hikers looking for a waterproof backpack with a large margin of safety. The main emphasis in the development of the backpack was on maximum protection and durability. In addition to 100% waterproofness, the backpack's reliability is achieved through the use of durable materials (reinforced at six points with Hypalon® pads) and the best fittings (YKK, Duraflex, WooJin). The DNS suspension system provides better ventilation of the back. The main compartment of the backpack has an internal exhaust adjustment valve and is devoid of pockets. Thus, with a nominal volume of 32 liters, this model is characterized by a large capacity due to the spacious internal compartment and wide entrance neck. The backpack developers made sure that you would not be left without water on a hike and provided both side voluminous pockets for flasks and a separate deep pocket with a clasp, which can be used for other purposes. The top valve is equipped with a zippered pocket with a carabiner for keys. Fastening the necessary additional equipment and gear in the most convenient position will not be a problem: a sufficient number of compression straps, loops and fasteners are provided for this. The central fasteners with an aluminum hook are very practical in terms of quickly unfastening the backpack.
With more than a century of experience in the production of equipment for tourism, Ferrino does not rest on its laurels, continuing to dictate even higher standards of tourist equipment. For this purpose, in 1994 a special high-altitude laboratory was built to test products in real conditions. For decades, the company has been cooperating with outstanding climbers (such as Reinhold Messner), researchers, speleologists, who, using Ferrino products, conquered all the highest points of the planet, crossed 20,000 km of Antarctica on foot at extremely low temperatures down to -70 ° C, descended for 80 minutes into the very depths of the earth, into the Cueva de los Cristales cave, where at a temperature of + 58 ° C and 100% humidity a person could not previously stay for more than 20 minutes even in special equipment. Ferrino is rightfully proud of its achievements and ensures the quality and functionality of its products at the highest level.
Technical specifications:
- Volume, l: 32
- Weight, kg: 1.75
- Dimensions, cm: 60x22x27
- Material: Polyester Diamond HD / Supertex® - wear and abrasion resistant, waterproof material
- Color: Black (black / red)
- Purpose: mountaineering, rock climbing, ski mountaineering, ski touring, hiking
Suspension and backrest system:
- Suspension system: Dry Net System Back
- Frame: semi-rigid, non-removable, consists of lightweight curved metal plates that ensure correct and even weight distribution, while maintaining the lightness of the entire structure, and also help maintain the correct position of the spine when walking.
- Back: Thanks to the Dry Net System, the Back is fully ventilated. The additional air space between the back and the backpack promotes effective ventilation. The rollers with soft polyurethane foam lining are covered with breathable mesh fabric.
- Shoulder straps: height-adjustable, anatomically shaped with soft EVA foam lining, lined with breathable mesh fabric, have loops for fixing the hydration system tube.
- Hip belt: non-removable, adjustable tension, with zipped pocket
- Chest strap: height adjustable with elastic insert and built-in whistle
Design features:
OutDry®- Water Not Included ™ - a patented technology that ensures 100% waterproofness of the backpack. Thanks to the patented process of internal lamination of the fabric with a membrane at a certain temperature and pressure, it is possible to achieve a 3D effect of covering all joints and seams. The membrane and fabric become one. Thanks to this, the level of waterproofness of the backpack is 10,000 mm (including at the seams and at every point where there is potential penetration of moisture). At the same time, the backpack fabric "breathes" and removes moisture, which is important on long hikes.
Dry Net System Back - a fully ventilated back, the air permeability of which is ensured by the presence of curved metal plates of the frame, creating free space for air circulation between the back and the back of the backpack. The frame is stretched with a mesh, providing additional rigidity to the entire structure. The mesh, together with soft waist and shoulder pads, provide comfort for the back and spine during walking, running, or active mountaineering.

Gear Loops - a special large loop located on the waist belt of the backpack, designed for hanging additional equipment. The loop is made of durable nylon webbing, folded in half and stitched to ensure greater reliability, and most importantly, ease of hanging and quickly removing equipment such as climbing quickdraws, climbing carabiners, etc.

Materials:
- Polyester Diamond HD - polyester fiber with a thread thickness of 210D and a high weave density. The fabric is very light, has an excellent weight-to-strength ratio, and also looks quite attractive due to the Diamond structure.
- Supertex® is a modern material with a 600D thread thickness and PU coating, which, due to its strength and water resistance, is widely used for car awnings, pool covers, tents, athletic mats, etc. After applying a load, the material retains its original shape without tearing or stretching, is easy to clean, does not fade from moisture and does not burn out in the sun.
- Hypalon® - chlorosulfonated polyethylene. A long-life material patented by DuPont. It is exceptionally resistant to abrasion, tearing, scratching, UV radiation, low and high temperatures. It is used in backpack construction elements that are most often subject to stretching and are constantly in use.
- YKK zipper is a Japanese company - the world leader in the production of zippers. The company's production facilities are located in hundreds of factories in more than 70 countries. More than half of all branded zippers in the world are produced under the YKK brand. Today, as 80 years ago, the abbreviation YKK is synonymous with impeccable quality and long service life. This backpack is equipped with YKK zippers.
- Duraflex hardware - American company National Molding Corporation - the largest manufacturer of plastic fittings under the Duraflex brand, which is the standard for tourist equipment. Plastic fittings are made of durable polyamide 6.6, developed by Dupont. Metal fittings are made of the most durable aluminum alloys, such as Alu 6061 and Alu 7075. The products withstand significant mechanical and temperature loads and are virtually eternal. This backpack is partially equipped with plastic and metal fittings Duraflex.
- Woojin Plastic is a Korean family company that has been producing fittings since 1979, under the WooJin brand since 2009. Today, the company is one of the five largest manufacturers of fittings for textile products, has more than 80 patents and is proud of the price-quality ratio of its products. This model uses a WooJin whistle, as well as other plastic and aluminum fittings of this brand.
