Description
Barska Point Black riflescopes are designed primarily for .223 Remington rifles and feature a special BDC bullet drop compensation feature. The BDC scale is designed for 50-grain (3.2 g), 55-grain (3.6 g) and 62-grain (4 g) bullets. The Barska Point Black 3-12x40 SF (IR 3G) riflescope features high-quality optics with a multi-layer anti-reflective coating, a side parallax adjustment mechanism and the proprietary IR 3G reticle. The scope body is waterproof, nitrogen-filled and impact-resistant.
The optical surfaces of the sight lenses are coated with a multi-layer high-intensity coating in violet tones. This coating transmits maximum light, ensures correct color rendering and cuts off UV rays.
As it should be for reliability, the sight body is made monolithically from anodized aircraft aluminum alloy, is completely sealed, and meets the maximum IPX7 water protection level for optics. The internal cavities of the body are filled with inert nitrogen, and, therefore, the optics do not fog up from the inside when the temperature changes.
The scope is equipped with a convenient lateral parallax adjustment system SF (Side Focus) at a distance of 10 yards to infinity. For quick focusing on the target, there is a Fast Focus focusing system on the eyepiece.
The sight's vertical and horizontal adjustment drums are open, designed according to a tactical scheme, and have a division value of 0.25 MOA. The vertical adjustment drum has three scales with a distance, allowing you to accurately and quickly make vertical adjustments at a distance of up to 400 m. Each of the three scales has a graduation corresponding to a specific weight of a .223 Remington cartridge (50 grains, 55 grains and 62 grains). It is enough to sight in the rifle at a distance of 100 m, after which you can immediately set the required distance on the drum and the aiming point will take into account the compensation of the bullet's trajectory at a certain range. The design also provides for the possibility of calibrating the drums to fix the initial point of entering corrections at the "zero" mark, for which a special Allen key is supplied in the kit.
The sight is equipped with a special IR 3G rangefinder grid, which has three brightness modes for each of the three illumination colors (red, green and blue). Thanks to the grid scale, you can make a wind correction and take into account the bullet's trajectory when shooting at longer distances than 400 m. This aiming mark is located in the second focal plane. The grid itself is made by engraving on glass, due to which it easily resists destruction during recoil.
The scope comes complete with both Flip-Up type eyepiece and objective covers, as well as protective objective and eyepiece covers on rubber straps.
