Ferrino Lynx are thought out to the smallest detail and have a number of design features that are unique to these backpacks, such as a specially designed quick-release ski mount, a quick release backpack system, a loop for coupling and, if necessary, towing a second skier, a special compartment for mountaineering crampons and compartments with locks for an avalanche shovel and an avalanche probe. In addition to such specialized design solutions, Ferrino Lynx 20 Black is fully compatible with a hydration system, has a removable hip belt, a spare loop for attaching second skis, a whistle on the chest strap, external loops for carabiners and removable locks for an ice axe or trekking poles. The interior space of the backpack is also optimized for placing and fixing various equipment. Ferrino Lynx 20 Black has a low weight due to the use of lightweight material, a ventilated back, reflectors on the front, and is equipped with reliable fittings from the best manufacturers.

With 150 years of experience in the production of equipment for tourism, Ferrino does not rest on its laurels, continuing to dictate even higher standards of tourist equipment. For this purpose, in 1994 a special high-altitude laboratory was built to test products in real conditions. For decades, the company has been cooperating with outstanding climbers (such as Reinhold Messner), researchers, cavers who, using Ferrino products, conquered all the highest points of the planet, crossed 20,000 km of Antarctica on foot at extremely low temperatures down to -70 ° C, descended for 80 minutes into the very depths of the earth, into the Cueva de los Cristales cave, where at a temperature of + 58 ° C and 100% humidity a person could not previously stay for more than 20 minutes even in special equipment. Ferrino is rightfully proud of its achievements and ensures the quality and functionality of its products at the highest level.

ENSA (École nationale du ski et de l'alpinisme). Ferrino is the official supplier of the National School of Skiing and Mountaineering, located in Chamonix (France). Design features:

Breathable Back - this ventilation system provides excellent breathability of the backpack back. Improved ventilation and air circulation occurs due to a special open cellular structure of the padding polymer material in combination with a durable mesh with an increased cell diameter.

Front Holders - a front ski retainer with a quick release system, specially designed for this model. The retainer consists of a lower loop made of elastic cord in a protective polymer shell and a special adjustable strap with elastic inserts and a hook. The lower part of the skis under the mount is fixed with the lower loop, the upper part of the skis is grasped with the upper adjustable strap and fixed with a hook on the shoulder strap. If you need to unfasten the skis, just unhook the hook of the upper tie and take the skis out of the lower loop without removing the backpack.

Ice-axe holder (1) - ice axe holders are placed at the top and bottom of the mountaineering backpack's façade and, as a rule, are a combination of lower long loops or reinforced cords and upper elastic tightening cords with a lock or small ties on a Velcro textile fastener. Such holders allow you to securely fix ice axes and not load the interior of the backpack with them. If necessary, the holders can also be used to attach trekking poles. This backpack has one pair of ice axe mounts combined with trekking pole mounts.

Trekking poles holder (1) - holders for trekking poles are placed at the top and bottom of the façade of a trekking backpack and, as a rule, are a combination of lower loops and upper elastic tightening cords with a lock. Less often, the lower loops are replaced with the same tightening cords. Such holders allow you to securely fix trekking poles and not load the interior space of the backpack with them. This backpack has one pair of fastenings for one or two trekking poles, combined with fastenings for an ice axe.

Inside Holders - the so-called internal holders are two narrow straps with a Velcro textile fastener, placed on the sides of the backpack's back from the inside. These holders are used to securely fix such equipment as folding trekking poles, an avalanche probe, an avalanche shovel, an axe, etc. inside. It is especially convenient to use internal holders when the terrain or the complexity of the hike do not allow you to place attachments outside the backpack.
Gear Loops - Special large loops on the backpack, designed for hanging additional equipment. The loops are made of durable nylon straps, folded in half and stitched to ensure greater reliability, and most importantly, ease of hanging and quickly removing equipment such as flasks, cups, mountaineering quickdraws, mountaineering carabiners, etc.

Removable Belt - this system involves the presence of a hip belt, which is threaded and fixed in special two-slot straps on the sides of the backpack. Depending on the specific use of the backpack, the hip belt can be easily detached or attached to the backpack, changing the functionality of the backpack from urban to hiking, or lightening the overall weight.

Compatible H2O Bag - this backpack is compatible with and can be equipped with a branded Ferrino hydration system with a capacity of one, two or three liters, or any other drinking system of the corresponding capacity. The backpack has the necessary compartment for placement and a loop for attaching a drinking system, as well as all the necessary holes and clamps for fixing the drinking tube.

Chest Strap Whistle - instead of the usual fastex on the chest strap of the backpack, a fastex with a built-in whistle is placed. The whistle allows you to give identification signals to determine the location, as well as give audible SOS. In extreme conditions, the voice is not always strong enough to give a signal of the required volume, and the whistle, which is very convenient, is always at hand.

SOS instructions - inside the backpack there is a patch or a table with instructions on the rules for visual or sound transmission of international distress signals, as well as on signaling that assistance is not required. The instructions provide rules for signaling aircraft, mountain rescue services, as well as emergency service phone numbers in Europe and the USA.
Reflective - to identify skiers and climbers at night, as well as in poor visibility conditions, elements with a reflective coating are required to be placed on the front of the backpack. Such reflective elements will help to identify the backpack in an emergency from a distance of several hundred meters using a search light.

Materials:

  • Polyester Diamond HD PU - polyester fiber with a thread thickness of 210D and a high weave density. The fabric is very light, has an excellent weight-to-strength ratio, and is resistant to water penetration due to its density and PU impregnation.
  • Hypalon® - chlorosulfonated polyethylene. A long-life material patented by DuPont. It is exceptionally resistant to abrasion, tearing, scratching, UV radiation, low and high temperatures. It is used in backpack construction elements that are most often subject to stretching and are constantly in use.
  • YKK zipper is a Japanese company - the world leader in the production of zippers. The company's production facilities are located in hundreds of factories in more than 70 countries. More than half of all branded zippers in the world are produced under the YKK brand. Today, as 80 years ago, the abbreviation YKK is synonymous with impeccable quality and long service life. This backpack is equipped with YKK zippers.
  • Duraflex hardware - American company National Molding Corporation - the largest manufacturer of plastic fittings under the Duraflex brand, which is the standard for tourist equipment. Plastic fittings are made of durable polyamide 6.6, developed by Dupont. Products withstand significant mechanical and temperature loads and are almost eternal. This backpack is partially equipped with Duraflex fittings
