Description

Torque 30 White is a lightweight backpack from the premium Ferrino HighLab line, designed for active mountaineering and rock climbing. The main emphasis in developing the backpack was on combining low weight and high reliability without sacrificing comfort. The reliability of the backpack is achieved through the use of advanced materials (Cordura®, Hypalon®) and the best fittings (YKK, Duraflex). The low weight of the backpack is achieved due to the lightweight frame, removable hip belt and chest strap. The design with a removable belt is due to the use of the backpack together with the safety system. The main compartment of the backpack has an internal exhaust valve for volume adjustment, a partition for a drinking system, side fasteners for fixing trekking poles and avalanche equipment, as well as upper fasteners for attaching carabiners. The upper valve is equipped with a zippered pocket with a carabiner for keys, thanks to the sewn-in elastic straps and the central compression strap, the valve very tightly closes the main compartment. The elastic mesh side pockets are large enough to hold a two-liter flask. The top and side straps allow you to attach a wide range of additional gear to the backpack, such as a rope, skis, tent, etc. There are two attachments on the front, suitable for both trekking poles and an ice axe.

With more than a century of experience in the production of equipment for tourism, Ferrino does not rest on its laurels, continuing to dictate even higher standards of tourist equipment. For this purpose, in 1994 a special high-altitude laboratory was built to test products in real conditions. For decades, the company has been cooperating with outstanding climbers (such as Reinhold Messner), researchers, speleologists, who, using Ferrino products, conquered all the highest points of the planet, crossed 20,000 km of Antarctica on foot at extremely low temperatures down to -70 ° C, descended for 80 minutes into the very depths of the earth, into the Cueva de los Cristales cave, where at a temperature of + 58 ° C and 100% humidity a person could not previously stay for more than 20 minutes even in special equipment. Ferrino is rightfully proud of its achievements and ensures the quality and functionality of its products at the highest level.

The main difference of the HighLab line of products is that each model is tested for compliance with the required characteristics in real conditions. Especially for this purpose, in 1994 the company created a laboratory in the Monte Rosa mountain range (Alps) at an altitude of 3,585 meters, where prototypes, pilot samples and final products of Ferrino HighLab are tested year-round, in the most difficult and unfavorable conditions for humans. In parallel, product tests are carried out in various corners of the earth with the most difficult climatic conditions. These are the Himalayas and Karakorum mountain ranges, the Argentine Andes, the French Alps, the Mexican Naica caves, etc. Despite the fact that the products are tested by a team of professional climbers and researchers, anyone can visit the laboratory and take part in the tests of all new products. HighLab is a product for professionals, created from advanced materials, meeting the highest quality standards, and guaranteeing maximum functionality, convenience and reliability. All HighLab products come with a 3-year warranty.

Design features:

Breathable Back - this ventilation system provides excellent breathability of the backpack back, backpack shoulder straps and hip belt. Improved ventilation and air circulation occurs due to a special open cellular structure of the padding polymer material in combination with a durable mesh with a cellular structure.

Removable Belt - this system involves the presence of a hip belt, which is threaded through a special opening in the back of the backpack and securely fastened with a Velcro textile fastener. For ease of use with the safety system and to reduce weight, the soft supporting wings of the hip belt can be unfastened, leaving only a wide strap with a fastex, which will still ensure reliable fastening of the backpack while moving.

Side Holders - a two-point side ski fixation system. The retainer consists of a pair of lower and upper adjustable side ties with fastexes. The ties are located at a sufficient distance from each other to fix the skis and prevent them from loosening while walking. This fastening system is combined with side compression ties and allows you to fasten not only skis, but also other necessary equipment.

Side Compression - the side compression straps of the backpack can be used to attach equipment such as a camping mat, trekking poles, skis to the sides of the backpack, which is very important when the internal space of the backpack is already occupied. Also, the compression straps can be used for their intended purpose to tighten and reduce the external volume of the packed backpack. This backpack is equipped with four straps with fastexes.
Front compression - a front compression strap that allows you to tightly close the backpack using the top flap, and if necessary, reduce the external size of the unfilled backpack. The strap is equipped with an aluminum hook that securely fixes and allows you to open the backpack very quickly. Under this strap, you can temporarily fasten a piece of clothing that does not fit into the backpack.

Rope holders - fasteners for the rope - these are five straps with fastexes, designed primarily for fixing the rope to the backpack. The central tie is placed on top under the flap of the backpack, and a pair of straps are placed on the sides of the backpack. Even if the rope is not used on a hike, the ties can be used as compression straps or for attaching small-diameter equipment, such as a mat or trekking poles. In this backpack, the rope holders are combined with ski mounts and side ties.

Ice-axe holders (2) - ice axe holders are placed in the upper and lower parts of the mountaineering backpack facade and are a combination of lower loops, one of which is adjustable in length, and upper elastic straps with stoppers. Such holders allow you to securely fix ice axes and not load the interior of the backpack with them. If necessary, the holders can also be used to attach trekking poles. This backpack has two pairs of ice axe mounts combined with trekking pole mounts

Trekking poles holders (2) - holders for trekking poles are placed in the upper and lower parts of the façade of the trekking backpack and are a combination of lower loops, one of which is adjustable in length, and upper elastic straps with stoppers. Such holders allow you to securely fix trekking poles and not load the interior space of the backpack with them. This backpack has two pairs of removable fasteners for trekking poles, combined with fasteners for ice axes.

Inside Holders - the so-called internal holders are two narrow straps with a Velcro textile fastener, placed on the sides of the backpack's back from the inside. These holders are used to securely fix such equipment as folding trekking poles, an avalanche probe, an avalanche shovel, an axe, etc. inside. It is especially convenient to use internal holders when the terrain or the complexity of the hike do not allow you to place attachments outside the backpack.

Compatible H2O Bag - this backpack is compatible with and can be equipped with a branded Ferrino hydration system with a capacity of one, two or three liters, or any other drinking system of the corresponding capacity. The backpack has the necessary compartment for placement and a loop for attaching a drinking system, as well as all the necessary holes and clamps for fixing the drinking tube.

Chest Strap Whistle - instead of the usual fastex, a fastex with a built-in whistle is placed on the chest strap of the backpack. The whistle allows you to give identification signals to determine the location, as well as give audible SOS. In extreme conditions, the voice is not always strong enough to give a signal of the required volume, and the whistle, which is very convenient, is always at hand.

SOS instructions - inside the backpack there is a patch or a table with instructions on the rules for visual or sound transmission of international distress signals, as well as on signaling that assistance is not required. The instructions provide rules for signaling aircraft, mountain rescue services, as well as emergency service phone numbers in Europe and the USA.

The fabric does not absorb moisture and has a good level of water protection and is lightweight due to the moderate thickness of the thread. At the moment, the Cordura trademark is registered by Invista.
