Description

The Ferrino Flash backpack series is represented by the most interesting models. The Ferrino Flash 32 Black backpack is the best choice for short but physically demanding summer and winter hiking and skiing trips. Despite its small volume, the backpack can even accommodate a winter sleeping bag in a compression bag, while leaving room for personal belongings. Additional equipment (tent, sleeping pad, skis, snowshoes, trekking poles, ice axes) can be placed outside the backpack and secured with side compression straps or additional straps supplied in the kit. At the same time, everything you need can be taken out of the backpack both through the main and the front entrance. The central vertical pocket on the front, the upper pocket and the side elastic mesh pockets are really spacious. Additional convenience is provided by a pocket for the most necessary things on the belt, a carabiner for keys in the upper pocket and a compartment for a hydration system inside. The backpack would not be so comfortable if it were not for the proprietary DNS suspension system, which helps distribute the load correctly and provides the highest level of ventilation. The most important elements of the design are made of the most durable Hypalon® material.

With more than a century of experience in the production of equipment for tourism, Ferrino does not rest on its laurels, continuing to dictate even higher standards of tourist equipment. For this purpose, in 1994 a special high-altitude laboratory was built to test products in real conditions. For decades, the company has been cooperating with outstanding climbers (such as Reinhold Messner), researchers, speleologists, who, using Ferrino products, conquered all the highest points of the planet, crossed 20,000 km of Antarctica on foot at extremely low temperatures down to -70 ° C, descended for 80 minutes into the very depths of the earth, into the Cueva de los Cristales cave, where at a temperature of + 58 ° C and 100% humidity a person could not previously stay for more than 20 minutes even in special equipment. Ferrino is rightfully proud of its achievements and ensures the quality and functionality of its products at the highest level.

Technical specifications:

  • Volume, l: 32
  • Weight, kg: 1.4
  • Dimensions, cm: 57x33x33
  • Material: Supertex® / Polyester Jaquard Weave 500D PU - wear and tear resistant, water resistant material
  • Color: Black (gray)

Suspension and backrest system:

  • Suspension system: Dry Net System Back

  • Back: Thanks to the Dry Net System, the Back is fully ventilated. The additional air space between the back and the backpack promotes effective ventilation. The rollers with soft polyurethane foam lining are covered with breathable mesh fabric.
  • Shoulder straps: Height adjustable, anatomically shaped with soft polyurethane foam lining, covered with breathable mesh fabric, with loops for fixing the drinking system tube
  • Hip belt: non-removable, adjustable tension, with zipped pocket
  • Chest strap: height adjustable with elastic insert and built-in whistle

Design features:

Dry Net System Back - a fully ventilated back, the air permeability of which is ensured by the presence of curved metal plates of the frame, creating free space for air circulation between the back and the back of the backpack. The frame is stretched with a mesh, providing additional rigidity to the entire structure. The mesh, together with soft waist and shoulder pads, provide comfort for the back and spine while walking, running, or riding a bike.

Ice-axe holders (2) - ice axe holders are placed at the top and bottom of the mountaineering backpack's façade and, as a rule, are a combination of lower long loops or reinforced cords and upper elastic tightening cords with a lock or small ties on a Velcro textile fastener. Such holders allow you to securely fix ice axes and not load the interior of the backpack with them. If necessary, the holders can also be used to attach trekking poles. This backpack has two pairs of ice axe mounts combined with trekking pole mounts

Trekking poles holders (2) - holders for trekking poles are placed at the top and bottom of the façade of a trekking backpack and, as a rule, are a combination of lower loops and upper elastic tightening cords with a lock. Less often, the lower loops are replaced with the same tightening cords. Such holders allow you to securely fix trekking poles and not load the interior space of the backpack with them. This backpack has two pairs of fastenings for trekking poles, combined with fastenings for ice axes.

Chest Strap Whistle - instead of the usual fastex on the chest strap of the backpack, a fastex with a built-in whistle is placed. The whistle allows you to give identification signals to determine the location, as well as give audible SOS. In extreme conditions, the voice is not always strong enough to give a signal of the required volume, and the whistle, which is very convenient, is always at hand.

Compatible H2O Bag - this backpack is compatible and can be equipped with a branded Ferrino hydration system with a capacity of one, two or three liters, or any other drinking system of the corresponding capacity. The backpack has the necessary compartment for placing a drinking system, as well as all the necessary holes and clamps for fixing the drinking tube.

Removable Straps - the backpack comes complete with two long straps ending in three-slot plastic Duraflex® straps. The straps are used to attach equipment such as a snowboard, alpine or cross-country skis, snowshoes. The straps can be fixed to specially designed loops or straps of the backpack, as well as to any other backpack straps of suitable width.

Side Compression - the side compression straps of the backpack can be used to attach equipment such as a camping mat, tent or trekking poles to the sides of the backpack, which is very important when the internal space of the backpack is already occupied. Also, the compression straps can be used for their intended purpose to tighten and reduce the external volume of the packed backpack.
Front Access (Full) - a front entrance in the form of a semicircular zipper in the central part of the backpack provides access to the contents of the main compartment of the backpack. The full front entrance is very convenient for quickly packing the backpack. Also, in cases where the backpack is packed to the brim, using the front entrance you can quite easily get out any necessary thing (raincoat, sleeping bag) and all other things will not fall out and will remain in their place.

Materials:

  • Supertex® is a modern material with a 600D thread thickness and PU coating, which, due to its strength and water resistance, is widely used for car awnings, pool covers, tents, athletic mats, etc. After applying a load, the material retains its original shape without tearing or stretching, is easy to clean, does not fade from moisture and does not burn out in the sun.
  • Polyester Jaquard Weave 500D PU is a beautiful, durable and lightweight fabric with a voluminous small pattern, containing more than 24 complexly interwoven polyester threads of 500D thickness. The fabric is durable, resistant to abrasion and deformation, retains color well, is weakly affected by temperature changes and is not destroyed by ultraviolet radiation. PU impregnation makes the fabric waterproof.
  • Hypalon® - chlorosulfonated polyethylene. A long-life material patented by DuPont. It is exceptionally resistant to abrasion, tearing, scratching, UV radiation, low and high temperatures. It is used in backpack construction elements that are most often subject to stretching and are constantly in use.
  • Duraflex hardware - American company National Molding Corporation - the largest manufacturer of plastic fittings under the Duraflex brand, which is the standard for tourist equipment. Plastic fittings are made of durable polyamide 6.6, developed by Dupont. Products withstand significant mechanical and temperature loads and are almost eternal. This backpack is equipped with Duraflex fittings
  • ITW Nexus hardware is an Asian company specializing exclusively in the production of high-quality fittings for military ammunition, tourist equipment and everyday textiles. Having released its first revolutionary buckle in 1977, ITW Nexus today, as a market leader, continues to produce hundreds of items of plastic fittings. This backpack uses fastex with a whistle ITW
