A distinctive feature of the professional microscopes of the SZM series is the presence of a zoom, with which you can steplessly change the magnification of the microscope in the range from 7 to 45 times.
Separate controls for each backlight allow you to smoothly change the brightness and use each backlight separately or together in any brightness variation.
The design feature allows for observation of samples outside the stage, thanks to the microscope rotating around the console by 360º
The special design of the focusing mechanism provides adjustment of the tension force of the focusing screws and allows, if necessary, to fix the microscope focused on the sample. This same feature allows for greater focusing accuracy.
The objective lens is reliably protected from dust and mechanical damage by a plastic skirt. The surfaces of the eyepieces and the tube are covered with a black anodized Type III coating, which reliably resists abrasion and corrosion.
It is worth noting that diopter correction is provided for each eyepiece separately. Thanks to this, additional microfocusing can be performed, as well as the microscope can be adjusted to individual vision characteristics.
For comfortable observation, the microscope is equipped with a pair of soft rubber eyecups that allow you to fix your eyes at the required distance from the eyepieces and at the same time block unwanted side illumination. The increased pupil removal of the eyepieces is simply necessary for comfortable observation for people wearing glasses. Additional convenience of observation is provided by tilting the binocular attachment at an angle of 45º.

In combination with the Optika ST-40 dark-field condenser and the Optika ST-41 jewelry holder (purchased separately), this microscope can be used as a professional device for jewelers, geologists and mineralogists. An additional lens on the 2x ST-087 objective allows you to achieve a maximum magnification of 90x. An additional lens on the 0.5x ST-085 objective allows you to increase the working distance to 165 mm.
