Description

The BRESSER Pirsch ED 10x42 binoculars are a premium all-rounder from the Pirsch ED series for nature observation, hunting, travel, sports and astronomy. The combination of high-quality ED glass (Extra-low Dispersion), phase and dielectric prism coatings provides a bright, high-contrast image with exceptional color rendition and no color fringing. The 10x42 format provides 10x magnification with sufficient brightness for observations until dusk. The housing is waterproof to IPX7 standard (withstands immersion up to 1 m) and is filled with argon, which is more effective than nitrogen in a wide temperature range and extends the service life of the device. The TwistUp swivel eyecups and ±4 diopter adjustment make the binoculars equally comfortable for users with and without glasses. The lightweight metal and polycarbonate body with a rubber armor coating, a wide soft strap and a tripod thread emphasize the orientation towards long-term serious use. All Pirsch ED models are covered by Bresser's premium warranty with risk coverage upon online registration.

About the Bresser brand

Bresser was founded in 1957 by Josef Bresser in Rhede (Germany), and today it is one of the leading European manufacturers of optical instruments. A special place in the brand's assortment is occupied by telescopes - from affordable models for beginners to serious refractors, reflectors and mirror-lens systems for experienced amateur astronomers. Bresser has its own developments in the field of astronomical optics, mounts and accessories, and is also the owner of the well-known American brand Explore Scientific, which strengthens its position in the telescope market. In addition to astronomical equipment, the company produces microscopes, binoculars, spotting scopes and weather stations, combining a German engineering approach with an affordable price.

What objects can be observed with this optical instrument:

Nature and birds - birds on branches and in flight, wild animals, fine details of plumage and fur thanks to the high resolution of phase coating and ED glass.

Hunting - assessing the animal and trophy in open areas and in the forest, observing at dusk, where the dielectric coating and argon filling provide an advantage in brightness and reliability.

Travel, sports and astronomy - panoramas, sporting events, as well as the Moon, bright star clusters and large areas of the sky from a tripod (the manufacturer explicitly mentions astronomy among the areas of application).

Marine and landscape observations - water area, coastline, distant landmarks; sealed housing withstands rain, splashes and even short-term immersion.

Military and tactical surveillance — detection and recognition of personnel, equipment, engineering structures and positions, as well as UAVs in the sky at a considerable distance with high detail and correct color reproduction. Argon filling and IPX7 waterproofing ensure reliability in adverse field conditions, and the tripod thread allows for long-term stable observation. It should be noted that this is a day-twilight device without night vision mode.

Features:

  • 10x magnification (10x) — brings the object ten times closer, providing high detail at a considerable distance. This is a universal magnification for long-distance nature observations, hunting, and terrain assessment. For maximum sharpness at long distances, the binoculars should be mounted on a tripod using the existing thread.
  • 42 mm lenses — the classic universal aperture collects enough light for a bright image in a wide range of conditions, including until the first twilight. The 42 mm diameter combines good aperture with moderate dimensions and weight. That is why the 10×42 format is considered one of the most balanced "for all occasions".
