Enlarged rubber centrifuge diaphragm (oil seal gasket) with a built-in seal and copper-bronze bushing is designed for installation in the spin tub of twin-tub semi-automatic washing machines. It functions as a sealing oil seal and a flexible shock absorber: it protects the centrifuge electric motor from soapy water leaks and compensates for the basket shaft runout at high spin speeds.

Operating Principle and Design:

The centrifuge shaft passes through the central hole, which features a built-in copper-bronze sliding bushing and a reinforced oil seal with a tension spring. During the spin cycle (1000–1400 rpm), the elastic corrugated body of the diaphragm absorbs dynamic vibrations and the imbalance caused by unevenly distributed laundry. The oil seal with the bronze sleeve provides reliable waterproofing, preventing water from reaching the lower bearing and the electric motor windings.

Repair Tip: Before installing the new diaphragm, clean the centrifuge shaft of corrosion and plaque using fine sandpaper. Apply a special water-resistant oil seal lubricant to the shaft and inside the bronze bushing — this will prevent squeaking, reduce rubber wear, and extend the motor's service life.
