Original ribbon heating element (Hi-Light / Hilite type burner) by the German company E.G.O. (article 10.74431.004) is designed for installation in electric and combined glass-ceramic cooktops. The heating unit ensures instant reach of the set temperature (within 3–5 seconds) thanks to an open corrugated resistive ribbon laid in the channels of a thermal-insulating ceramic base. The burner is equipped with a standard rod-type thermostat-limiter with a residual heat indicator E.G.O. 60.25176.200, which protects the glass-ceramic from thermal shock and prevents accidental user burns.
