Description

Ferrino Rutor 30 is a 30-liter technical backpack for ski mountaineering and mountaineering in the "fast & light" format. Weighing only 650-780 grams, it carries a full set of specialized winter equipment: a separate pocket for an avalanche shovel and probe, a lower compartment for crampons and rope, mounts for skis and ice axes. The soft anatomical back fits snugly to the body, ensuring stability on descents and technical sections where the backpack should not "walk". Built-in safety features - a RECCO reflector, a whistle on the strap and SOS instructions - increase the chances of rescue in the event of an emergency. A removable expandable valve, compatibility with the H2 Bag drinking system and a helmet holder make the backpack flexible for a specific exit. Rutor is the official equipment of the Chamonix National Ski and Mountaineering School (ENSA), confirming its level for professional use.

About the Ferrino brand

The Italian company Ferrino, founded in 1870 in Turin, is one of the oldest outdoor equipment companies in the world, producing tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, mats and technical clothing for climbers, tourists and outdoor enthusiasts. For more than a century and a half, the brand has gained a reputation as a benchmark for quality: products are developed in collaboration with professional climbers and tested in real extreme conditions in its own high-altitude laboratory HighLab on Monte Rosa near the Rifugio Quintino Sella shelter (3585 m), which has been operating since 1994. The reliability of Ferrino equipment has been confirmed not only by high-profile expeditions (the brand's tents were once used by the legendary Reinhold Messner), but also by many years of cooperation with civil protection services, the Red Cross and humanitarian missions. Each model undergoes careful control of materials and design, which ensures durability and reliable protection in any weather conditions. β€œWe were the first and we remain the best” - these words reflect the company's leadership in the world of outdoor products.

Features:

  • Diamond HD fabric is a durable material with a diamond-weave ripstop weave, designed for high abrasion resistance. It withstands contact with rock, ice, ski edges and crampons - typical loads of winter and technical routes. This makes the backpack durable in the conditions where equipment wears out the fastest.
  • Soft anatomically close-fitting back - unlike ventilated systems with an air gap, here the back is soft, with contoured padding that fits tightly around the back. This fit keeps the load close to the body and prevents the backpack from swinging on descents, traverses and during climbing. The shoulder straps and waist belt are also ventilated - the reshaped padding with channels wicks away heat and moisture.
  • Ultralight weight 650–780 g β€” the backpack is built on the principle of β€œfast & light”, where low weight directly affects the speed and endurance on the climb. Removable elements (in particular, the valve) allow you to lighten it even more for a specific climb. This is one of the lightest options in its technical class.
  • Front shovel and probe pocket - a separate external compartment designed for avalanche equipment: a shovel and probe. It keeps rescue tools organized and provides instant access to them - seconds count in an avalanche situation. The equipment does not get lost in the main volume and is always in the same place.
  • Bottom compartment for crampons and ropes - a separate bottom compartment for sharp and dirty gear. It isolates crampons and ropes from the main contents, protecting items and fabric from damage by sharp objects. Bottom access allows for easy access to...
