Description

Ferrino Lightec Shingle SQ is a spacious rectangular sleeping bag with increased thermal characteristics for trekking, backpacking and camping. The rectangular shape gives more freedom of movement than a cocoon, and the increased volume of HTF Compact insulation (690 g) in a “shingle” (tile) construction with offset seams provides warmth to a comfortable +5 °C. A soft hood-insulator, a protective strip along the zipper and a two-way zipper increase warmth and convenience. Thanks to a compatible zipper, the left and right versions are connected into one double bag. With a weight of 1200 g, the bag folds to 19 × 34 cm - convenient to take in a backpack. This is a warmer rectangular version of the Lightec line for those who value space and do not want to freeze on cool nights.
Absolutely all Ferrino sleeping bags comply with the international standard ISO 23537-1:2016. This standard regulates the requirements for sleeping bags and confirms compliance with the specified temperature conditions, dimensions and weight on the labels.
About the Ferrino brand
The Italian company Ferrino, founded in 1870 in Turin, is one of the oldest outdoor equipment companies in the world, producing tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, mats and technical clothing for climbers, tourists and outdoor enthusiasts. For more than a century and a half, the brand has gained a reputation as a benchmark for quality: products are developed in collaboration with professional climbers and tested in real extreme conditions in its own high-altitude laboratory HighLab on Monte Rosa near the Rifugio Quintino Sella shelter (3585 m), which has been operating since 1994. The reliability of Ferrino equipment has been confirmed not only by high-profile expeditions (the brand's tents were once used by the legendary Reinhold Messner), but also by many years of cooperation with civil protection services, the Red Cross and humanitarian missions. Each model undergoes careful control of materials and design, which ensures durability and reliable protection in any weather conditions. “We were the first and we remain the best” - these words reflect the company's leadership in the world of outdoor products.
Features
- Rectangular (square) shape - the classic rectangular shape of 215 × 75 cm gives more space and freedom of movement during sleep than a narrow cocoon. It is more comfortable for those who do not like cramped conditions. Designed for heights up to 195 cm.
- Outer fabric and lining - The outer shell of 100% nylon 20D 400T is thin, lightweight, yet strong and abrasion-resistant, while the inner lining of 100% polyester feels good against your skin. Lightweight materials reduce the weight of the bag without sacrificing reliability. Comfort inside and durability outside.
- HTF Compact Insulation (690g) - Synthetic fill made from triple compact fibre combines warmth, light weight and durability, while the increased volume provides warmth down to a comfortable +5°C. It holds its shape well and regains its volume after compression. Reliable warmth for cooler nights.
- Shingle insulation construction - layers of insulation are overlapped like roof tiles, improving insulation for the same volume. This construction evenly distributes the filler and eliminates cold spots. More warmth without the extra weight.
- Offset seams - the seams of the outer and inner layers are intentionally offset from each other to minimize heat loss through them. This eliminates "cold bridges" in the stitching area. Sleep remains warm even on cool nights.
- Insulated hood - an anatomical hood is tightened with a drawstring and wraps around the head, through which it loses...
