The angular gear-driven chain tensioner mechanism (tensioning device) is designed for adjusting the saw chain tension on Chinese and domestic chainsaws with an engine displacement of 45–52 cm³ (4500 / 5200 series). Unlike a straight screw tensioner, the angular gear transmission moves the adjustment screw to the side cover, making the chain adjustment process safe and convenient.

Pro Tip: Before installing the new tensioner, be sure to clean the mounting seat in the cover of sawdust and apply a small amount of thick grease (lithol, solidol) to the helical gears. This will prevent premature wear and gear stripping during regular chain tightening.
