The design of the switch allows the handle to be turned in both directions from the zero position.
Safe operation of the switch is ensured by using a handle fixed with a screw and an electrically insulating wedge on the axis of the square cam.
The switch has four fixed positions, which provide the following load connection options:
- zero - the load is off (all contacts are open);
- first, two electrical load circuits are connected in series (contacts 1-3 and 2-4 are closed);
- second - one electrical load circuit is switched on (contacts 1-3 and 2-5 are closed);
- the third - two electrical load circuits are connected in parallel (contacts 1-3, 1-4 and 2-5 are closed).
