Description
These binoculars have high optical performance, including bright and clear images, high resolution and high contrast. They are easy to use and ideal for outdoor observation. The high-quality models are ideal for beginners and advanced users who want to enjoy clear and accurate colors and contrast when viewing the natural world. Even for binoculars with a large 56 mm objective lens, the BDXD is lightweight and compact, making it ideal for shooting in low light without compromising image quality. XD lenses and a bright wide field of view provide a clear image without chromatic aberration. All lenses and prism surfaces are multi-coated, providing a bright and clear field of view. Close focus performance is exceptional on all models. The robust, fully waterproof magnesium alloy housing, filled with nitrogen, makes these binoculars suitable for even the harshest environmental conditions. The large, bright 56mm objective lenses further increase light penetration, providing excellent low-light performance.
Kowa Company, Ltd. produces some of the finest sports optics in the world, with an optical heritage dating back to 1954. From cutting, shaping and polishing the lenses to final assembly, every optical instrument that leaves the Kowa factory must pass a series of rigorous acceptance tests before reaching the market. The company has its own production facilities located in Japan and China according to models of varying degrees of complexity. Kowa is the only one on the market that produces lenses from pure fluorite and uses them in its highest quality telescopes. The company also applies its many years of experience in the production of optical instruments in medicine and optics for machine vision.
Features:
Prominar XD (Extra Low Dispersion) is a special grade of optical glass with low dispersion, developed by Kowa for binocular and spotting scope lenses. The refractive index of low dispersion glass depends little on the frequency of light (on the spectrum). All light waves are refracted by the same angle. The use of these glasses in the design of lenses allows you to practically get rid of such an unpleasant aberration as chromatism. The cost of such glass is very high, which is why only manufacturers of high-tech optics use it in their premium products. Kowa rightly claims the superiority of Prominar XD over other varieties of low dispersion glass, which has been repeatedly confirmed by tests and expert opinion.
The large 56mm objective lens has excellent light gathering ability, ideal for low-light observations without compromising image quality. All optics inside are multi-coated using sophisticated technologies developed over many years of Kowa optical engineering. The image is clear, bright, but retains a natural warm color.
Kowa C3 Prism Coating - Kowa ROOF binoculars use Schmidt-Pechan prisms made of BAK-4 optical glass. Since one of the surfaces of the Pechan prism does not provide complete reflection, Kowa
developed a dielectric coating with high reflectivity - "KowaC³". This allowed to obtain a reflectivity higher than in other coatings that use silver or aluminum. Thus, the KowaC coating has a reflectivity of 99% or more in the entire visible region of the spectrum (from 400 to 700 nm).
