Non-serviceable electric motor in a sealed steel housing for TP / QDS 550 series pumps (550 W)
The 550 W (0.55 kW) submersible non-serviceable electric motor is designed for the replacement repair of drainage, sewage, and garden submersible pumps of the TP/QDS 550 series. The motor is supplied as a complete assembly in a sealed, non-serviceable steel sleeve ("can"), which protects the stator windings and rotor from the pumped water. It is equipped with a mechanical face seal on the shaft output side and flexible insulated leads for power and grounding connections.

Signs of Electric Motor Failure:
- The pump hums when plugged in, but the shaft does not rotate (winding breakdown or rotor jamming).
- The circuit breaker (RCD) trips when the pump is submerged or turned on (water ingress into the housing and ground fault).
- The motor overheats significantly and shuts down via the built-in thermal protection after a few minutes of operation.
