Description
Makita Stator Current Collector Spring Rings Ø17–18 mm (Set of 2)
The set of current collector spring rings (stator contact springs) with an inner diameter of 17–18 mm is designed to ensure reliable electrical contact between the stator winding leads and the brush holders in Makita power tools and their equivalents. The spring design provides constant pressure on the contact group during operation, compensating for vibrations and thermal expansion.
Key Advantages and Features:
- Reliable Commutation: Ensures stable current transfer to the brush holder without sparking or contact burning.
- High Elasticity and Conductivity: Made from a special copper-plated spring alloy resistant to heat, mechanical stress, and vibrations.
- Ease of Installation: Equipped with a locking connection/terminal clamp for quick and secure conductor attachment.
Compatibility and Application:
Used in rotary and stationary stator commutation units of Makita corded power tools, as well as tools from other brands with a similar brush-commutator assembly design:
- Makita Rotary Hammers: HR2470, HR2470F, HR2470FT, HR2810, HR2811, HR2460, etc.
- Makita Angle Grinders (Disc Grinders / AG): GA4530, GA5030, 9554NB, 9555NB, 9557NB, 9558NB, and similar models.
- Other Tools: Drills, wall chasers, routers, and polishers with a stator contact ring spring system.
Technical Specifications:

- Stator current collector spring rings Ø17-18 mm — 2 pcs (pair).
Pro Tip: If the old rings are burnt or contact is lost in the rotary hammer/grinder, be sure to check the condition of the plastic brush holder housing guides. Before installing new rings, clean the mounting seat of dust and carbon deposits to avoid micro-arcing and heating of the spring coils.
