Despite the fact that the Optima Biofinder Trino 40x-1000x is primarily intended for educational purposes, its optical and design characteristics fully meet the initial requirements for laboratory-grade instruments and allow for a full range of observations in the bright field. This model does not require additional upgrades for most microbiological studies, and can be used by students, teachers and laboratory assistants in the basic configuration. The trinocular design allows the use of a digital camera to record observations, and is also more convenient for long-term observations. LED adjustable illumination and a focused Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm provide a high level of resolution at maximum multiplicities. Coaxial macro and microfocusing screws, and micrometric stage supports allow for precise focusing on the required area of the sample. The metal body of the microscope and rubber feet ensure the stability of the device and image stability during observations. All Optima microscopes come with an extended three-year warranty.

The combination of wide-field eyepieces and four objectives provides magnification in the range from 40 to 1000 times. All optical elements (objectives, eyepieces and condenser) are made of glass. The wide-field eyepieces have a light-emitting coating and provide a contrast and evenly clear image of most of the field of view. DIN standard achromatic objectives are designed to work with cover glass 0.17 mm thick.
