Description
Carbon (graphite) brushes for power tools 5x8x15 mm with auto-stop (6 mm "button" contact)
A set of copper-graphite current-collecting brushes with a cross-section of 5x8 mm and a length of 15 mm is designed to transfer electric current to the rotor (armature) commutator in power tools and household appliances. They are equipped with a built-in automatic shutdown system (auto-stop / safety plunger) and a 6 mm diameter contact button with a pressure spring.
Main Advantages and Features:
- Built-in "Auto-stop" system: A spring-loaded dielectric plunger is located inside the brush body. When the graphite reaches its wear limit, the plunger automatically shoots out and pushes the brush away from the commutator, breaking the circuit. This prevents burning and damage to the copper armature lamellas.
- High-quality copper-graphite composition: The optimal balance of softness and conductivity reduces sparking, ensuring smooth motor operation and a long service life.
- 6 mm Ø "Button" contact connection: A 6 mm diameter brass disc at the ends of the spring ensures reliable electrical contact with the brush holder.
Compatibility and Application:
5x8x15 mm brushes with auto-stop are one of the most common sizes and are suitable for a wide range of power tools:
- Rotary hammers and demolition hammers: Compatible with popular models from Bosch, Makita, DeWalt, Interskol, Fiolent, DWT, Dnipro-M, Sturm, etc.
- Angle grinders: Low- and medium-power angle grinders for 115–125 mm discs.
- Drills, routers, and polishers: Corded power tools with the corresponding brush holder size.

Package Contents:
- Carbon brushes 5x8x15 mm with auto-stop — 2 pcs (pair).
Pro tip: When replacing brushes, always replace them as a pair, even if the second brush is not fully worn. If the tool suddenly stops turning on for no apparent reason, check the brushes: most likely, the auto-stop mechanism has triggered, pushing the contacts away from the commutator to protect the motor.
