A 3/8" (3/8") drill chuck thread is a US inch thread that corresponds to approximately 9.525 mm (3/8") in diameter.
For use with drills with diameters 2-13 mm
Allows you to change drills and bits without using a key:
You simply rotate its knurled sleeve by hand (tightening or loosening), and the internal jaws securely clamp or release the drill shank.
It is convenient, especially when frequently changing equipment,
but less reliable under heavy loads compared to a key chuck, as the mechanism wears out over time.
