Description
The Banda by STIGA Allround Future Cybershape System table tennis racket is a unique combination of the historic Swedish brand BANDA with the revolutionary hexagonal Cybershape shape, developed in collaboration with the Royal Swedish Institute of Technology (KTH). Designed for players who have grown from the beginner level and are looking for a reliable racket with the most modern shape to develop technique, spin and accuracy of the shot. The racket is built on a 5-ply wooden base of the hexagonal Cybershape shape, which gives a significantly larger effective hitting zone (sweet spot) compared to the classic round shape - this is especially helpful for players who are just developing a stable hit on the ball. STAR Future S pads with excellent grip provide the perfect balance of speed and spin without losing control. A unique feature of the model is the re-glueable design: the pads can be re-glued or replaced with more powerful ones as your skills grow, so one racket grows with you. The ergonomic shape of the handle ensures a comfortable grip, while the stylish black and red design with the characteristic BANDA branding adds a distinct sporty character. The Banda by STIGA Allround Future Cybershape is the optimal choice for players who want to get the most modern hexagonal blade shape at an affordable price and use its advantages for confident progress in their playing technique.
About the BANDA by STIGA brand: BANDA is a classic Swedish table tennis brand with a truly legendary history. Founded in 1966 in Eskilstuna (Sweden) by entrepreneur and tennis player Bengt Bandstigen, the brand emerged as a response to STIGA's dominance in the global tennis market - Bandstigen believed that there was room for another strong player in the industry. The name BANDA is associated with the founder's surname. The brand quickly gained popularity thanks to the production of high-quality racket blades, and BANDA reached its peak in the 80s and 90s, when tennis players won world championship and Olympic titles with its rackets - in particular, the brand supported the legendary Jan-Uwe Waldner, one of the greatest tennis players in history, at the beginning of his career. In 1984, Bengt Bandstigen bought out STIGA's table tennis division - and it was after that that STIGA production moved to Eskilstuna, where the brand's headquarters remain to this day. So the modern STIGA Sports AB is, in fact, the successor to Bandstigen's combined business, which carries the legacy of both legendary Swedish brands. In the 2000s, the company temporarily focused exclusively on the STIGA brand, and today BANDA returns to the market under the name Banda by STIGA - continuing the tradition of control, precision and Swedish craftsmanship, but with new rackets developed in collaboration with the Chinese national team - one of the strongest tennis teams in the world.
