Thanks to the large objective lens and sufficient range of magnification, the Bresser Pirsch Gen II 20-60x80/45 WP telescope acquires the character of an optical instrument with a fairly wide range of applications. It is a suitable tool for long-distance sports shooting, for hunting from an ambush or from a tower, for observing city landmarks, as well as for astronomical observations. But, first of all, it is one of the best telescopes for observing and photographing wildlife. The second generation of Bresser Pirsch telescopes received a more ergonomic waterproof and nitrogen-filled housing, but the main improvements concerned the mechanics and optical characteristics. Now the tube is equipped with a two-speed focuser and a more precise zoom mechanism (magnification change), and the optical system has a high-class Ultimate Reflection Coating illumination and a phase-controlling prism coating. All optical surfaces (lens, eyepiece and prism) are fully coated with Ultimate Reflection Coating in green tones for greater light transmission and a contrasty and bright image. The rotating prisms are made of high-quality BAK4 optical glass using the Porro system and have phase correction, which optimizes the image and automatically classifies this model as a high-end optical instrument.
For maximum viewing comfort, the eyepiece is set at a 45º angle. The tube rotates in the clamp by 225º to achieve the most comfortable viewing angle. A retractable sun visor protects the lens from both sun glare and precipitation.
Special attention deserves a two-speed focuser with a gear ratio of 1:10. Thanks to this solution, you can quickly focus on the necessary targets, and then smoothly move the observation zone without losing a clear image of the object. The focuser is located in the central position, which is very convenient for use, regardless of which hand is used to focus. For greater comfort of observations, a rotating and sliding eyepiece is used.
The scope of delivery includes a field case that fits snugly over the tube, has all the necessary holes for tube control, and reliably protects it from precipitation and damage during use. The objective and eyepiece covers are firmly fixed in place and will definitely not get lost during movement.
