Description

Pentax SD 10X42 WP (62762) binoculars meet all modern high requirements and standards: full multi-layered lens illumination, water and dust protection according to JIS 6 (Japanese Industrial Standards), nitrogen purged, prisms made of high-quality BaK4 optical glass. The updated lens coating with improved light transmission (Enhanced Light Transmission Coatings) creates a crystal-clear image. The outer rubber coating of the case provides reliable protection against slipping and shock resistance. The Pentax SD 10X42 WP (62762) binocular model is suitable for use both in everyday observations (sea walks, tourism) and serious observations (hunting, extreme tourism), in difficult natural conditions of high humidity, with sharp temperature changes.

The manufacturer of the Pentax brand values the high quality of its products, so to eliminate fakes on the market, each unit of Pentax optics is assigned a unique serial number at the manufacturer's factory, thanks to which you can identify the authenticity of the product and be sure that you have a truly original, high-quality optical device.

Binoculars features:

  • Fully-multi-coated Full multi-coated broadband optics provide equally high light transmission across the entire visible spectrum and contribute to high contrast and color rendering in natural tones.
  • New Enhanced Light Transmission Coatings Modern technologies inherent in premium optics take Pentax's high-quality optics to a new level by applying a new optimized film coating technology (improved light transmission) to the surfaces of lenses and prisms, which leads to increased light transmission and the creation of bright images with accurate color reproduction.
  • Phase Correction A special phase-correcting coating that is applied to one of the surfaces of the prism rotating system in the form of the thinnest layers. Phase correction is necessary exclusively for the Roof optical system, since, passing through such a prism, the light flux is decomposed into two parallel beams of light waves, an out-of-phase shift of half the light wavelength occurs, which leads to a decrease in image resolution, as well as a decrease in contrast. Phase Correction corrects this displacement. As a result, the image is as clear and contrasty as possible. The cost of such a coating is very high, and the application process requires precision accuracy, so only well-known optics manufacturers can afford such a technological complication. Today, without a phase-correcting coating, the design of a modern high-quality optical device of the Roof prism system is practically unthinkable.
  • BAK4 Barium crown is a special type of optical glass used to make prisms in optical instruments. This material has a lower dispersion coefficient (light scattering) than the glass used for budget models. As a result, chromatic aberration (iris at sharp transitions from dark to light) is significantly reduced. In addition, a clearly defined refractive index of light avoids vignetting (the phenomenon of cutting off the light beam at the edges), which provides a uniformly bright image throughout the field of view.
  • Protective Lens Coating All optical surfaces of lenses are quite fragile and should be handled with care to avoid scratching them. To enhance the reliability of the Z and S series Water Proof binoculars, Pentax has created a protective coating made using nanotechnology, which provides additional protection of the lens surface from dust, dirt, and water. This allows Pentax binoculars to be used in the harshest conditions during observation.
  • Hydrophobic Coating Unique water repellency...
