Samsung Refrigerator Water Filter (HAF-CIN/EXP, DA29-00020B)

Water Filter Cartridge for Samsung Refrigerators DA29-00020B / HAF-CIN/EXP

Replacement water filter cartridge designed for installation in the internal unit of the water dispensing and ice making system in Samsung refrigerators. Equipped with a high-efficiency filter element made of compressed coconut shell activated carbon. The filter deeply purifies tap water from organic compounds, active chlorine, odors, heavy metals, and fine mechanical particles (sand, rust, sediment).

Regular cartridge replacement ensures drinking water safety and protects the refrigerator's hydraulic system and ice maker from scale formation and clogs.

Installation and Maintenance Tips

1. Pre-installation Preparation: Shutting off the main water supply before replacing the filter is usually not required (an automatic valve is provided in the mounting socket), but if the system pressure is high, it is recommended to shut off the valve.
2. Installation Process: Remove the old cartridge by turning it 90 degrees counter-clockwise and pulling it toward you. Remove the protective cap from the new filter, insert it into the socket, and turn it 90 degrees clockwise until it locks (the lock icon should align with the mark on the housing).
3. Mandatory Flushing: After installing the new filter, be sure to flush 5–7 liters of water through the refrigerator dispenser. This is necessary to remove air from the system and flush out residual carbon dust particles (during the first few seconds, the water may have a dark tint or sputter air — this is normal).
4. Resetting the Replacement Indicator: After replacing the cartridge, you must manually reset the filter counter on the refrigerator's control panel. Press and hold the "Filter Reset" button (or the "Ice Type / Water" / "Child Lock" combination depending on the model) for 3 seconds until the indicator changes color to blue/green.
5. Replacement Schedule: The filter should be replaced at least once every 6 months. Even with low water usage, activated carbon loses its properties over time and can become a breeding ground for bacteria.
