CPM series domestic centrifugal electric pumps belong to the category of classic single-stage radial flow pumps. This equipment is designed for pumping clean water without abrasive impurities (sand, clay) and long-fiber inclusions, as well as chemically non-aggressive liquids. Operating principle of the CPM series centrifugal pump:

The operation of the CPM series pump is based on the dynamic action of the rotating impeller vanes on the liquid:

• Filling and startup: Before starting, the pump's working chamber and the suction pipe must be completely filled with water. When the electric motor is turned on, the shaft with the impeller (runner) attached to it begins to rotate.
• Creation of centrifugal force: Under the action of centrifugal force, water is thrown from the center of the impeller to its periphery (to the walls of the volute casing of the pump part). As a result, a low-pressure zone (vacuum) is created in the center of the impeller, and a high-pressure zone is created at the outlet.
• Continuous cycle: Due to the pressure difference, water from the source is continuously sucked in through the inlet port, picked up by the impeller vanes, and pushed under pressure into the discharge pipe.

Installer's tip: CPM series pumps are not fully self-priming, so a foot check valve with a mesh filter must be installed at the end of the suction pipe. Starting the pump "dry" (without water in the working chamber) is strictly prohibited, as this will lead to immediate failure of the mechanical seal (gland).
