Description

Now all telescopes of the Bresser Messier line are equipped with a new 2.5" Hexafoc focuser, which has a positive effect on both image quality and focusing smoothness. The Bresser Messier NT-150L/1200 EXOS-2/EQ5 telescope is a long-focus Newtonian reflector with a mirror diameter of 150 mm, universal in terms of light-gathering characteristics and obtaining high magnifications. This is a worthy representative of the Bresser Messier series and one of the best among classic mirror telescopes. The Bresser Messier NT-150L/1200 EXOS-2/EQ5 telescope can be recommended for "advanced" users who are guided by the movement of celestial bodies across the sky and like to independently search for space objects.

The flagship line of Messier telescopes from the German manufacturer Bresser is distinguished by high build quality, precision fitting of optical elements and the use of only high-quality materials. There is no compromise in quality and price. All units, parts, and mirrors of the telescope are made with precision accuracy, which provides the best optical and operational characteristics in their class. Bresser Messier telescopes are highly appreciated by experienced amateur astronomers.

The main purpose of the Messier NT-150L/1200 EXOS2/EQ5 telescope is to observe galaxies, nebulae and other faint objects in deep space. With its help, you can see extended nebulae such as the Orion Nebula, bright galaxies such as the Whirlpool in the constellation Canes Venatici, many planetary nebulae, and the total number of potentially accessible objects will amount to more than one thousand. At the same time, the large diameter of the objective lens will allow you to successfully use the telescope to observe details on the disks of planets and the Moon, you only need to purchase a short-focus eyepiece. It is necessary to note the possibility of using this telescope for astronomical photography. There is a screw on the mounting clamp of the tube, on which almost any camera equipped with a standard tripod mount can be installed. In this way, you can get wide-angle pictures of star fields, the Milky Way, the brightest galaxies and nebulae. The telescope's 2-inch focuser is threaded for a T-ring, allowing the telescope to be used as a large SLR lens, free of color-distorting chromatic aberration. If the telescope is guided smoothly behind a celestial body, detailed images of distant space objects can be obtained.

The telescope is equipped with a German equatorial EXOS-2 mount and a stable steel tripod. The tripod is additionally rigidified by a metal shelf for accessories, which has holes for 1.25” and 2” eyepieces. The tripod height is adjustable, which allows the telescope to be adapted to the height of the observer. The EXOS-2/EQ5 mount has a clear design and control system and is capable of carrying a tube weighing up to 13 kg. The fine movement mechanisms on both axes are equipped with flexible, comfortable handles for comfortable control of the telescope in any position of the observer. The mount can be supplemented with a separately purchased electric drive for the right ascension axis and a pole finder to track the daily movement of luminaries without the participation of an observer during visual observations or photography.
One of the latest improvements of the company, implemented in this telescope, is the new Hexafoc focuser with an internal diameter of 2.5". Thanks to this solution, it was possible to avoid possible vignetting (cutting) of the image when working with wide-field two-inch eyepieces. In addition, attention was paid to improving the smoothness of the movement and stability of the focusing system itself.

The telescope is equipped with a finder, which is attached to the tube with a metal bracket, maintaining the alignment of the finder and the telescope throughout the entire observation session.

Also included in the delivery set is a colorful moving map of the starry sky for studying the sky and preparing for observations. For the same purpose, only much more fully and deeply, serves the program - planetarium Stellarium for a personal computer, which shows the night sky with all the constellations, planets and nebulae on the computer screen for the time and place of observation selected by the user.
High image quality is guaranteed not only by the robust design, but also by the excellent quality of the parabolic mirror with highly reflective coating. All elements of the optical design of Bresser Messier telescopes are made of special optical glass. This is what allows obtaining bright and clear images of observed objects with correct color rendition, both during visual observations and during astrophotography.
