Description

The BRESSER Plössl 5 mm is a high-quality telescopic eyepiece with a mounting diameter of 31.7 mm (1.25 inches), designed for observers who seek maximum magnification and a clear image when studying planets, the Moon and other celestial objects in detail. The eyepiece provides a clear, contrasting image thanks to the classic Plössl 4-lens design in two groups with full multi-illumination of all optical surfaces. The short focal length of 5 mm allows you to achieve the maximum magnification of the telescope, making this eyepiece an indispensable tool for planetary observations. The 50° field of view ensures comfortable observation even at high magnifications, reducing eye fatigue during long sessions. The body and shaft of the eyepiece are made entirely of metal without the use of plastic, which guarantees mechanical strength, durability and stability of the optical axis. The inner shaft is carefully blackened to eliminate parasitic glare and increase image contrast. A flexible rubber eyecup reliably protects against extraneous light and ensures a comfortable eye position. The filter thread allows you to install color and fog filters directly on the eyepiece, expanding the possibilities of observations without additional adapters.

Features:

  • Plössl optical design - a classic 4-lens scheme divided into 2 groups, is the gold standard among entry-level and intermediate-level eyepieces. This design provides excellent aberration correction, high sharpness across the entire field of view and excellent contrast, which is especially important when working with high magnifications.

  • The 50° field of view is a comfortable field of view for a Plessl-class eyepiece, allowing you to see a fairly wide area of the sky even at maximum magnification. This makes it much easier to center and keep an object in the field of view during observations.

  • A focal length of 5 mm is the shortest focal length in the eyepiece range, allowing for the highest possible magnification for a given telescope. An eyepiece with this characteristic is the primary tool for detailed study of planets, the surface of the Moon, and resolving close binary stars.

  • Full multi-coating of all lenses — each optical surface is coated with multi-layer anti-reflective coatings that significantly reduce reflection and light loss. This ensures maximum light transmission, image brightness, and minimizes the appearance of parasitic glare even in difficult observation conditions.

  • The 31.7 mm (1.25 in) mounting diameter is the most common standard among amateur telescopes. The eyepiece is compatible with the vast majority of refractors, reflectors, and catadioptric telescopes, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of observers.

  • All-metal housing - both the outer housing and the inner shaft of the eyepiece are made of metal without the use of plastic elements. The metal construction guarantees increased mechanical strength, optical axis stability, and product durability with regular use.

  • Blackened inner surface — The inner surface of the eyepiece shaft is carefully blackened with a matte finish...
