Description

A distinctive feature of this model is the presence of a solar filter in the basic configuration, thanks to which the telescope can now be used for daytime observations of solar activity. The Bresser Polaris-I 102/460 EQ3 telescope with solar filter and smartphone adapter (4602460) is a short-focus refractor that provides stunning light output. The telescope is quite compact and lightweight for a refractor with a similar lens diameter, it can be easily placed in a hiking backpack and moved with you in search of the perfect place for observations. In addition, the package allows you to record observations on a smartphone camera, for which a special adapter is supplied with the telescope.

This model is interesting because planetary observations and observations of solar activity using a single telescope are now available at an affordable price. The telescope's objective is an achromat with a relative aperture of 1/4.5, which makes this telescope characterized by a really high aperture for observing distant objects in space, which is an advantage for astrophotography. The objective lens has an improved multi-layer green coating, which helps to increase the brightness and contrast of the image. The lens has a hood to protect against side flare and dew formation. A special solar filter is included in the package that protects the eyes from the penetration of ultraviolet, infrared and visible ultra-bright solar radiation, passing only the amount of visible light waves that is sufficient to form a high-quality image of the Sun. The filter has been tested by an independent product quality assurance organization and has a European CE certificate of conformity. The telescope tube is made in a modern style of aluminum with an external carbon fiber finish, which is designed to make the structure as light as possible on the one hand and as shock-resistant as possible on the other. For rigid mounting of the lens and focuser, the tube is fastened with metal rims. The telescope is equipped with a focuser with a 2” eyepiece mounting diameter (for using standard 1.25” eyepieces, an adapter is included in the kit). This allows you to use wide-angle eyepieces to obtain a large field of view when observing extended objects and star fields. Two eyepieces in combination with a Barlow lens provide a wide range of magnifications. The telescope is equipped with a Red Dot finderscope. For greater convenience of observations (especially landscape), a diagonal mirror is included in the kit. The telescope is mounted on a rigid EQ-3 mount - equatorial, German type. The mount is equipped with fine movement mechanisms on both axes. Thanks to the use of worm gears in the fine movement mechanisms, motorization of the mount (and installation of an auto-aiming system) is possible. Coordinate circles allow you to aim the telescope at objects using the equatorial coordinate system. The package includes an adapter for a smartphone (tablet). The adapter is mounted on the selected eyepiece and allows you to take photos and videos with the main or front camera of the gadget. The smooth back of the smartphone is securely attached using the adapter's many suction cups (in the case of a grooved back surface of the smartphone, it is recommended to use the front camera).
