Description

Ferrino Estella 40 is a 40-liter trekking backpack for weekend hikes and multi-day treks, where both capacity and equipment organization are important. Its main advantage is the Dry Net System back system with a stretched ventilation mesh, which keeps your back dry even on long hikes under full load. Numerous pockets (top flap, front mesh, side expandable and internal) allow you to arrange everything in its place and have what you need at hand. A rain cover is already included, and two holders for poles or ice axes and front loops for equipment make the backpack suitable not only for trekking, but also for mountaineering, ski touring and expeditions. A separate plus is the fabric made of 100% recycled polyester and compatibility with the H2 Bag hydration system.

About the Ferrino brand

The Italian company Ferrino, founded in 1870 in Turin, is one of the oldest outdoor equipment companies in the world, producing tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, mats and technical clothing for climbers, tourists and outdoor enthusiasts. For more than a century and a half, the brand has gained a reputation as a benchmark for quality: products are developed in collaboration with professional climbers and tested in real extreme conditions in its own high-altitude laboratory HighLab on Monte Rosa near the Rifugio Quintino Sella shelter (3585 m), which has been operating since 1994. The reliability of Ferrino equipment has been confirmed not only by high-profile expeditions (the brand's tents were once used by the legendary Reinhold Messner), but also by many years of cooperation with civil protection services, the Red Cross and humanitarian missions. Each model undergoes careful control of materials and design, which ensures durability and reliable protection in any weather conditions. β€œWe were the first and we remain the best” - these words reflect the company's leadership in the world of outdoor products.

Features:

  • The Dry Net System (DNS) back system with an internal steel frame is a suspended back system where a flexible steel frame holds a tensioned mesh panel at a short distance from the back. The frame performs two tasks at once: it evenly distributes the weight of the load and transfers it to the hips, and the air gap between the mesh and the back ensures constant air circulation. This keeps the back dry and cool even in hot weather and under full load, which is fundamentally important on long hikes.
  • Anatomical ventilated shoulder straps - the straps are made of soft padding with a mesh coating and pre-shaped to the anatomy of the shoulders. This shape ensures a tight fit without distortions, and the mesh ventilates the contact area, removing moisture and heat. As a result, the pressure on the shoulders is distributed evenly, and even a loaded backpack does not rub or tire during long hours of wearing.
  • Waist belt with pockets - a wide hip belt hugs the pelvis and secures the pack on the hips. It transfers a significant portion of the weight from the shoulders to the body's strongest muscle group, relieving the back and spine on long routes. Additional pockets on the waist keep small essentials - a phone, a bar, a hygienic lipstick - in instant access, without having to remove the pack.
  • A chest strap is an adjustable strap that connects the shoulder straps at chest level. It prevents the straps from spreading out and tightens them to the optimal width for the user's figure. This stabilizes the backpack during active movement and noticeably improves balance on descents, crossings, and trail running.
  • Side compression straps - adjustable straps on the sides of the backpack body. When not fully loaded, they tighten the volume, compressing the contents...
